Why FullAthlete
Every decision is personal, deterministic, and traceable — not a black box. Here's what runs under the hood.
Sessions adapt to your training age, available equipment, and injury history. Pick a category and intensity — FullAthlete selects the right exercises from an 850+ pool and calibrates load, reps, and sets to you.
Hit your targets and the next session asks for more — earned, never auto-inflated. Every set you log is scored against your personal bests, so the load only climbs when you've shown you're ready for it.
Streaks, personal records and training history are tracked as you log. Every session closes with your top lift and exactly what changes next time — so the work compounds instead of blurring together.
Every target traces back to an explicit formula. The system degrades gracefully when data is missing, and honours your preferences — avoid an exercise twice and it stops showing up.
How it works
Strength, power or endurance. Easy, moderate, hard — or cursed. Tell us the muscles you want to hit, or let FullAthlete decide.
FullAthlete assembles a complete session in seconds, with exercises, load, reps and sets already dialled in for you — no setup.
Log reps, load and rest per set with a built-in timer. PRs are detected as you hit them, and next session's targets move with you.
Your call
Let the coach pick your exercises, or build the session yourself and keep the calibration. Either way the loads, reps and sets come from your history — you're never starting from a blank page.
On the gym floor
Reps, load and rest for every set, with a rest timer that keeps running in the background. Personal records are detected as you hit them — and when a target shifts, the app tells you exactly why.
The long game
Finish a session and bank the XP. Streaks, levels and personal records are tracked for you, alongside your full training history — so progress is visible even on the weeks it doesn't feel like it.
No black box
One screen lays out everything the coach reads before it writes a session: your weekly target, what you're training for, your equipment, injuries to work around and muscles to leave alone. Change any of it and the next session changes with it.
Also included
Optional AMRAP and 1RM competitions with video-verified results and leaderboards split by ability bracket. Entirely separate from your training — dip in whenever you feel like competing.
Join the FullAthlete beta and let your training take care of itself. Free to start, on iOS and Android.
Questions
No. Tell FullAthlete what you have — a full gym, a few dumbbells, or nothing at all — and sessions are built around it. Load is snapped to the increments your equipment actually supports.
Yes. FullAthlete reads your training age and starts conservative — lighter loads and simpler movements — then unlocks complexity and intensity as you log more sessions.
Targets come from a clear priority chain: your personal best first, then a baseline formula factoring bodyweight, equipment and intensity. Nothing is a black box — every number is traceable.
FullAthlete is free to use. It's currently in beta — the buttons above take you to the TestFlight invite on iOS, or the Google Play testing programme on Android.
An optional side mode, separate from your training. Community competitions in AMRAP or 1RM format: you submit a short video, the community verifies it, and you're ranked against athletes in your ability bracket on a fair leaderboard.
